Many people believe that doctors have the final say on what treatments will be provided. Although they try, a lot of times treatments are halted or postponed by insurance companies. Lack of coverage of certain illnesses and procedures causes problems to remain untreated. This is primarily caused by people not having enough money to pay for these treatments out of their own pocket. Medications and specialists are avoided and people ignore the problems that slowly get worse until untreatable complications arise.
